I have always regarded my eyes as one of the most distinct features about me and I was proud with them; playing with different colors of eyeliners and eyeshadows.
However, recent problems within the family has been surfacing (that's another story) and other people can't help but notice that my eyelids (or eyes) have become puffier and puffier each day.
Until one morning, I woke up, to my horror, I saw that my left eyelid has dropped and covered almost 1/3 of my eye! It wasn't a good sight to see, it was really obvious even from afar. Apart from that, there's a burning sensation that recurs everytime I blink!
I have tried lots of home remedies -- drinking 10 glasses of water a day, getting at least 8 hours of sleep daily, putting ice cubes around the area, taping it to its original form -- nothing seems to work. Now I'm considering going under the knife despite my fear of needles and other sharp objects.
Are there any other alternative remedies that I can still try before I go through the surgery? If I DID go through it, is there a big chance that it might worsen my eyelid considering I had a history of recurring styes? I badly need help!
Thank you.
