Menstruation Answer A23438
Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

First of all do not be depressed and relax. It is quite normal to have miscarriage in the first trimester and there are various reasons as low hormonal levels, chromosomal abnormality etc and you need not be worried as after that you can definitely have a healthy pregnancy.
It usually takes 3 to 6 cycles after the abortion for the hormonal levels to be normalized and have a regular ovulation.Bleeding can be due to various issues as infection, cervicitis, any medications you have been taking and fluctuating hormonal levels. It might be that you have low progesterone levels and so you have been prescribed that.Sometimes even pregnancy hormones remain elevated in the blood for few months.
Just relax yourself physically and emotionally and give sometime for your body to heal.

Take Care!
