Hi,

After putting a condom on a thing that kind of resembled a penis, I started to masturbate. After this, my vagina was bleeding. I shouldn't be getting my period for a week (I'm on birth control). This happened last week too.

Is something wrong?? I'm always really paranoid about stuff that goes wrong down there, because I really want kids in the future. I'm just really scared right now. My boyfriend told me not to worry.

What do you guys think? Should I be worried?

Did you have any pain or irritation?

Have you had a pelvic exam?

I have not had a pelvic exam.
A bit of irritation, but it's gone now, nothing really painful.

Was it a lot of bleeding and did you put any lubrication on it?

The bottom line is that you shouldn't use just anything to pleasure yourself with. Some items may have hard to see, sharp angles that can cut or scratch you. The flesh inside you is very tender and sensitive. Also, certain things can irritate you. For example, you wouldn't want to use anything that you're allergic to. You wouldn't want to use anything rough that could tear a condom. You also need to make sure that you're not using the item too roughly. The penis is flesh and blood that can only have so much impact but something hard like a broomstick could do real damage if used too roughly. I know it's embarassing but if you feel the need to play around with sex toys you need to get the real thing and not improvise with household objects.

Thanks for the advice. The condom was lubricated, so maybe it was that that caused the irritation. It wasn't really a lot of blood, I used a few kleenexs to dab it away, and after a few minutes it stopped bleeding. I think it may have been a scratch on the flesh, maybe not from the inside.
Sounds like I should head down to the sex shop...It's getting really tedious trying to find household stuff, and by the sound of it it's not really safe.
Thanks again!!

No, it is not normal, but it is not unnatural or something to be too worried about.

There are many reasons why you can bleed, from injury to left over menstrual flow to your uterus bleeding during orgasm due to the phase of your cycle or your hormone balance.

For the vast majority of women, this is not a problem. If it does continue to happen every time in the next few weeks, or the bleeding is very heavy or does not stop, or you think something can be wrong, you need to speak to your doctor.

Take care!

You are sure it is not your period?

What did you use to masturbate with? It is unlikely that you will get an infection unless you used something dirty to masturbate with.

Monitor yourself for an infection (look for a starnge discharge or a bad smell). If you do not have an infection, it is normally not something to be worried about, unless it happens every time you masturbate, or the bleeding does not stop.

Even though masturbation is a private thing, it is not something to be ashamed of or embarrased about. It may be uncomfortable to talk to strangers about it, It fulfills one of our basic needs, just like eating, sleeping, breathing, visiting the toilet and having our periods. So do not confuse private and uncomfortable to discuss with shame and embarrasment.

The odds are also pretty good that your doctor masturbate too. If you are worried, speak to your doctor. It may be uncomfortable to talk to the doctor, but they know best and can examine you. And I can guarantee you it will not even be the most uncomfortab discussion your doctor will have that hour.

I have had some slight bleeding or brown discharge the last 2 times I have masturbated. My period shouldn't arrive for another week and half.

I use sex toys and I always clean my toys. There is no pain or any smells. What could cause the bleeding?

Thank you

Did you take a mirror to see where the flowwas coming from? Perhapsyou cut yourself which will also explain the slight discomfort you are feeling.

Depending on what you used and how you masturbate, you might have caused a cut or micro tear. If you are still a virgin, you might have damaged your hymen. If you pumped something in and out of your vagina, you could have bumped into your cervix. Your orgasm could have caused your uterus to release some flow early. It can be your period starting early.

It can also be an infection. If you practice safe sex, it can be a yeast or bacterial infection. Bacterial infections like BV is known for the fishy smell. Yeast infections are known for the cottage cheese like discharge and itch.

Small vaginal bleeding
I'm using Yaz contraception pills for 9 months now, and me and my boyfriend played last night, I think he put his fingers too deep and I felt a bit of pain, like he scratched me, or something. Later I saw a bit of pink blood on my undies. I'm supposed to get my period in like 4 days. Could it be the scratch? I didn't experience this problem while masturbation on my own? I'm really worried. I did the PAPA, vaginal and cervix analysis, they were all right. Should I do the chlamydia, ureaplasm and microplasm test too?

You are fine. It is likely just from scratching you, or if you are still a virgin, from a tear in your hymen.

I lost my virginity six months ago and I'm still quite new to everything related to sex. I think my vagina isn't used to sex because I don't practice it regularly Very Happy. And I wanted to do that other analysis because I want to make sure it isn't related to it, or it might be that my pills aren't suiting me anymore.

Did you put something inside your vagina (the hole) or did you just rub your vulva (lips and clitoris)?

You might have picked up an UTI or damaged your hymen.

Having sex and masturbation often involves rubbing around your pee hole. If there are some germs or bacteria, it can go up your pee hole and cause an UTI infection. An UTI is not just due to sex or masturbation. Women will often get it for no apparent reason as well.

If you think you got an UTI, you need to speak to your mom or guardian. It is treated leith antibiotics. You do not have to tell her you masturbated.

You also need to remember to pee after you masturbated. That will clean out anything that might have entered your pee hole during masturbation.

Take care!

i\'m a 15 year old and I started masturbating at age 14 due to curiosity. I tried it thrice when I was fourteen. I tried it five times during 15. Last night was my fifth. I was using my fingers, and I tried a little hourglass. It was about 4 inches long and 3 fingers wide, I kind of went fast and rough then I bled. I didn\'t insert it all the way and this is the thickest i\'ve used, i\'m also near my mens cycle, due to come in a few days. It doesn\'t hurt when I pee, but it hurts a bit on the inside near my pelvic bone. It bled quite a bit. Please answer me, what is wrong? will it go away?

i've never had sex of any kind. it doesn't bother me too much, but it hurts when i walk, the pain makes me cringe, what should i do?

You can stop counting, and you really do not need to justify why you masturbate. Masturbation is a personal choice you make, and it does not have anything to do with anybody else. Masturbation is a normal and healthy part of life.

Have you taken a mirror and identified all your parts? Google "femal anatomy" and try to find each part on your own body.

Your sex organ is your clitoris, not your vagina. Inserting something inside your vagina can be a lot of fun, but rubbing your clitoris is the main way you get to an orgasm.

As a virgin you likely still had your hymen intact. Inserting the hourglass tore your hymen. This is normal for first time penetration and it is likely where the bleeding and discomfort came from.

Your vagina is very delicate inside. Anything that goes inside should be very clean and well lubricated. If it gets dry, friction can cause tears and pain.

Make sure that anything you use is safe. It must be clean, smooth with no sharp edges and it should not be able to break, shatter, crack, chip or splinter.

Take care!
