The bluish color suggests bleeding under the skin usually caused by a hit. Do you remember if you were bitten somehow?

Stinging can also cause a bruise if a bigger blood vessel under the skin was damaged. In that case there should be a mark of the bite on the skin.

Bleeding under the skin (hematoma) needs a few weeks to be dissolved. A secondary infection may worsen the condition.

You may want to consult your GP for a precise diagnosis and proper treatment.
