I was "taken advantage of" when I was 17, and it took me until I was 19 to become sexually active with my fiance. The very first time we tried to have intercourse it felt like he poked something or popped something. It kinda hurt but not a lot. Right after that feeling I began to bleed a little bit. I thought he had broke my hymen all the way or something. But I put a pad on just in case. About an hour later when I would stand up the blood would rush down and completely soak my shorts and the 2 overnight pads I had put on. I began to get very lightheaded and my boyfriend tried to take me to the hospital because something was not right. My parents had told me to go home instead, that the bleeding was just my menstral cycle and to not worry about it. About every hour on the hour I would have to go to the bathroom and release the blood that was putting pressure on my lower stomach area. I would push a little bit and the blood would, more or less, explode out of me. At about 2 in the morning, I went to the bathroom like normal but never made it to the toilet. I had passed out for a good 30 minutes and when I came to I started screaming for my mom. She called 911 because I was pale, my lips were blue, my fingers under my nails were white and I was freezing cold. What the weird thing was, is that when I passed out, right when I came to, I realized the bleeding had completely stopped and it hasn't been back since. The hospital said it was an intense period and that I need to stop getting over-excited about things. I am very curious to know what it may have been.

you know it could have been a mixture of your period and hymen bleeding. i know the first like 5 times i had sex i bled ALOT...not like gushing, but just alot more than i had expected. but you may have also had your period at the same time you possibly broke your hymen. you may have just passed out because of blood loss? not from the period, but maybe when you had sex he really like tore through you? that sounds grousome but its kinda my only logical explaination....or in my mind. but i dont think the hospital should have told you to stop getting over excited. thats what their there for, to help you and to help you understand whats going on. you also could have been dehydrated while losing the blood and along with the stress could have made you black out ya know?
