Last year I fell pregnant and had an abortion, the one where they give u tablets. the circumstances werent the best and im only 16 and felt it was the right decision.

although i can explain why i did it i am very very ashamed and associate alot of sadness and depression with it. i only told 1 person i was pregnant and they let me down. noone else knew i had the termination alone. i hate the doctors and am extemely scared to go there at all let alone to talk about this. but i never had a follow up appointment anyways. i had the termination in september 08 and can honestly say it was one of the most hideous things i have ever had to do and i hate myself for doin it. my biggest fear however was tht i would be punished by not being able to have children ever again. i bled after the op quite badly and had alot of clots coming out but it died down after about 3 weeks.. but it has never completely stopped. it is now feb 09 and the most amount of time i hav had off my period is about a week. other times its been like two days. sometimes it dies down and last time it did i had sex (protected) with this guy im seeing and i started bleeding again. i know anyone would just say go see your doctor but iv been puttin it off because i realli realli dont like it so wanted to see if any of you had any thoughts?

before it i was tested for chlamydia which was positive and i was treated for tht but i here its linked to excessive cntinual bleeding? also, after the termination they gave me the contraceptive injection... which is wht i associate with all this bleeding maybe a bad reaction to it or something? i tried the pill before all this but i put on lots of weight and regularily forgot to take it. i only tried one type but it made me feel ill and my mum n sister are affected by it the same way.. im nt sure whether to get the implant.. i want to be able to have sex n know im nt going to bleed or get pregnant again.. i dnt trust just condoms anymore since it split.. i just dont know wht to do.. i still cry about it all the time and am so scared about nt being able to have children. i cnt move on from it all when i keep getting reminded of it. life is hard n im having to wear pads n tampons basically all the time. its been about 6 months now and i just dnt kno wht to do. i know it seems im ramblin but find it hard to put into words... also new relationships have been s problem because having sex or getting close to someone scares me. theres no way i could go thru it again. any help would be most apprreciated.. x kat x

hiya darling, i know your gonna think oh just another one telling me to go to the doctor but hunni it really is the best option with how long youve been bleeding, i also had a termination only mide had to be surgical as it took me that long to go and do it because i didnt want to go through with it that i left it till i was ten weeks, it truly is the worst thing iv ever had to do in all my life and will hate myself for the rest of it but unfortunately there was not another option! however, i did bleed afterwards, but this bleeding did not last, at all!! there is no way you should hav bled for so long from the termination hun but please dont start panicking, the bleeding may be a side affect of of the injection they gave you afterwards, was it by any chance a depo shot he gave you?? i had this contraceptive injection when i was 17. i can tell you know it made me bleed non stop for months, then when id stopped having it it stopped my period for 16months!!! this is still not right though, you sould not bleed for so long while on it, which is why i stopped having the shot, i would go and see th doctor but just to tell him that youve had this shot and its making you bleed for so long, you wil need t tell him about the termination just incase! but i think personally because its een so long since then, that it may just be the injection causing your bleeding like it was for me hun, hope your ok xxx
