I've been taking seasonique since the middle of june and I'm not almost done with my 1st 3 month pack.

Right now I'm not having sex and I don't plan on having it for a while, so while I stilll take the bc I don't take it right, I usually take 2 every other day.

About a week and a half 2 weeks ago I started bleeding lightly and it lasted for as long as a period. IT stopped a few days ago aand so I was like...ok.

Yesterday I was going to bathroom and saw blood, very light, but blood.

Today it's a lot of blood and doesn't really look like period blood, like real blood, ya know?

Is it normal?

Is it because of how I take it?

With Seasonique (or any birth control, especially ones that keep your period away for long periods of time), it is very common to have bleeding. So, regardless of the color...it's normal.

I would suggest taking the pills more regularly. Even though you're not having sex, it would still help your body to have the hormones consistently. If you take too much time between pills, you could release an egg causing an unexplained period. So, make sure to take those pills!

When you are taking a birth control pill you are getting doses of estrogen. Seasonique has a high dose of it and you have to take it regularly. That means you need to pick a scheduled time to take it so that you will be getting your estrogen at the same time every day. If you dont take it at the same time you WILL start your period 9 times out of 10. So my answer to your question is yes, it could be because of how you are taking your birth control. My suggestion would be to start taking it at the same time every single night, and if after a month or so you are still spotting, you should go to your doctor and switch pills because breakthrough bleeding is a major problem with Seasonique.
