Hi. Im 24 and have been on the pill for a few years. My periods are always regular and I have quiet a light flow. I recently finished my pill as normal and took my 7 day break, my period came and went as normal and I started to take my new pack. Then about 7 days after I started the new pack I stared to bled again, it was very little and dark brown and thick in colour. A few days after this I was bleeding heavily (more than a usuall period for me) and still am. I have still been taking my pill and due to finish this pack in 3 days. Should I continue to take my pill and take my 7 day break as normal. Could this be a sign of pregnancy? Please help

Extremely eHealthy
It is normal for all women to experience an irregular bleeding at least once in their life.
The most common reason is hormonal imbalance (not enough or too much of certain hormones) as a result of weight loss or gain, heavy exercise, stress, illness, or certain medications.
Pregnancy must be excluded or confirmed when an irregular bleeding occurs.
Another possible reasons could be STD, cervical erosions, or very rarely, benign tumors of the womb.
If the same bleeding occurs in another two following cycles of pills, you should consider another type of pills.

Do a pregnancy test!
Best wishes!
