Q: Bleeding gums and HIV risks

Last week I went to a department store. While washing my hand, a man beside me was also washing his hand and splashed one drop of water to my lip. I had bleeding gums. How about HIV risk? Is it possible that urine will mix with pre-cum or cum?

ppgpuff,

HIV dies 30 seconds a minute after it leaves the body. HIV lives inside the body. Why would you think the man washing his hands would infect you from a drop of water? Even then, your lip is not your bleeding gums.

Please explain more what you mean by "Is it possible that urine will mix with pre-cum or cum?"

We've jumped from topic topic here. I want to help you.

Always.

I don't know. I know only those fluids come from the same way. I don't know normally urine can contain how much HIV. I have ever heard that sperm can contain in urine in some case when it mixed with pre-cum or cum so I don't know if HIV can contain in urine.

I am not sure if the drop would contact my gums while absorbing from my lip because that time I had no tissue paper. I used my shirt for absorbing the drop.

Should I stop my worry? Please help.

Urine does not have enough HIV to cause infection.

Pre-cum and cum do have enough HIV to cause infection.

You get HIV from somebody else. Through unprotected sex, sharing dirty needles, infected mother to child.

If you are worried about everything, stop worrying, wait 90 days and get a blood test for HIV. Then, wait another 90 days, test again. In between do not engage in activities mentioned above.

Then my dear, you will be sure about your status and not worry.

I recommend that you Google how HIV is spread and educate yourself. Education is power. Then you don't go through life in fear of water drops.

On my initial post I wanted to say HIV dies 30 seconds to a minute after hitting the air.

Also I wanted to add that fluids that have HIV are blood, semen, precum, vaginal fluids including periods and breastmilk.

Please ask any questions.

Always
