Q: Bleeding from throat and nose

A friend had some bleeding from the nose, then day after bleeding from the throat, it is now dark red from nose and throat. Nose constantly blocked up, he is always blowing his nose. Wht could be the cause?

Your friend needs to be seen by an ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist) right away.

Bleeding from the nose could be anything from allergies to ???...however since your friend is also bleeding from the throat...this is NOT normal...which makes me think that the blood that is coming from his nose could actually be from his throat or visa-versa.

So the question is....

Is the blood originating from his throat or nose or both...most importantly...WHY??????
