I got a birth control on January 4th or 5th and my first period was normal but now I have been bleeding for 5 weeks. I have a 4 month old daughter as well. The Health Department told me this was normal because I recently had a baby and I am on the depo provera shot. Is this normal? I have been extremely nauseated and getting weak and pale. Someone please help me! I am so frustrated with my menstrual cycle.

It is called breakthrough bleeding and it is not unusual. Take an iron supplement to get your strength back.

They can use birth control pills to stop this bleeding.

Take care!
