okay first of all i am 20 years old, so i am writting this just to get some ideas as my doctor doesnt know wats wrong.. for the last 2 months i have been bleeding for 16 days then it stops for about a week and starts up again for another long episode 16 days then stops and starts up again.. its honestly so annoying and frustrating..

the first time it happen the doc said i had a miscarriage and that i will bleed only a couple of days. a couple days later it stopped and i was all happy for a week, until it came back. so i went back to her and this time she was a little worried and booked me in to get a blood test nd pelvic ultra sound. so living on magnetic island i couldnt afford to leave all the time to get to town to get these test so i had them booked for the same day, i went over and they told me the doctor did not fill the paperwork properly so i couldnt get anything done.

since my last visit to her, i moved to a bigger city (over easter holiday) and im planning to speak to my cousin bout it tomorrow in hope she will come with me to the doctor.

well i am just curious as to what anyone thinks might be wrong?? i am worried that i might have cancer or something and its really upsetting to think about this daily. please help me too understand what is happening to me someone.

thank you.

Your symptoms could be caused by a lot of different things. It could be endometriosis, hormone imbalance, fibroid tumors, polyps, cancer... Since it has happened twice with a break in between, I doubt it was a miscarriage. The doctor can put you on birth control pills to try to regulate your period, do a D& C to remove the excess. Other options are to have the uterine lining burned or have a hysterectomy but these are only for women who don't want to have kids/ don't want any more kids as they cause sterility.

No, I'm saying if you have your uterine lining burned or get a hysterectomy YOU will not be able to have children.

i have d.u.b=dysfunctional uteran bleeding. that means the doctor did all their tests and i dont have...infection..cancer,tumors, polyps ect. i was told it's due to imbalance hormones. i was put on the depo. im still having spotting. d&c's are short term, i had one and im still having problems.
don't be upset if you don't get an answer in one visit.. im so frustrated i m considering a hysterectomy and i m only 32 a 13 year old. i want more kids, so i m holding out to let the doctors do they're "trial and error" with me to see what works.
