Q: Bleeding after sex

I have had a hysterectomy at least 6 months ago or longer. Every time I have sex I bleed. Sometimes it is light and last for weeks. And other times it is light but a lot and only a day or two. I need to know whats wrong.
Also one more problem. My OB-GYN told me that I will never have to had a pap again. Others said yes I will because of other problems. Well my OB-GYN said at the top of my virginia on the in side, he sewed it up all the way across. Is this normal or is it a new kind of hysterectomy? Can anyone help?

First, I can tell you that you will need a Pap smear...I was surprised about this too...This is probably true because there is tissue at the top of our vagina's and like everything else on our body is open to disease....As far as the bleeding when you are having sex, that is not normal...After this much time you should not be doing this....There is something wrong when this is happening...You will be sewn up after a Hysterectomy if your cervix is removed...If it wasn't you won't...This is why the bleeding that you are doing should not be happening...It should be a closed wound...

I hope this helps...I would definitely have this checked out...
