Hi, when I was 7 weeks pregnant, i had bleeding after an orgasm (not intercourse), it didn\'t last very long but maybe two hrs and I only saw it when i wiped, didn\'t have any cramps either, could this be a problem? I am 9 weeks now and don\'t go to the doctors until June 2.

Hello,

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out. In view of the symptoms described by you, you definitely seem to be suffering from threatened miscarriage.

For the same, usually, a per speculum examination is carried out by the obstetrician to see if the mouth of the uterus is open or not.

In case, the mouth of the uterus or the cervical os is closed, then there isn’t much to worry.

A few lab tests also should be done like the complete blood count which includes the hemoglobin to see if your hemoglobin has not gone down due to bleeding.

The white cell count tells if there’s any infection which might need treatment. The ultrasound is also done to rule an ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy in the fallopian tubes instead of uterus).

Once these things are fine, I don’t think there should be anything to worry. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
