Q: bleed from rectum

Okay so I googled alittle but dont feel I fit the cateogory...

I noticed a little bit the other day then today agian when I went to use the restroom I though I had started my period but I wiped nothing, the blood came from my rectum.

I am in NO pain and have no little bumps...

the ONLY thing I can think of that changed is that my boyfriend and I had anal sex about a week ago, but we have in the past (not frequently but have) could that have caused this?

Hello Jessamyn,

You would of bled from the rectum that night. You could have Hemmoroids. I have them and once in awhile my rectum will bleed. As long as the blood is bright red and not a dark red you are fine. Dark Blood usually is associated with Internal bleeding. If you are really conerned go get a colonoscopy this will check for any internal bleeding in the area and also colon cancer, piles and hemmoroids.

Thank you for the response Kathy I think I simple over reacted... it happened that day and that day only and it was really only one time except for the time I wiped and a little came out? Hmm but I do thank you!
