hello,
im 21 years old and im a virgin. im sexually active with my fiance, last time we were active i only let the tip of his penis go in, it was painful during the act i felt like he was pressin on my bladder but i thought it was normal, cause i never did that before... after that act i started to feel pain when im about to finish urinating, i feel like im bruised or somthing. the pain went on for 2 weeks, then i went to the pharmacist and he gave me (URISEPT) pills, also a cream (DAKTACORT). i used them for 4 days now, the pain reduced, but i still feel it and a bit of irritation on the outside of my vegina. the pharmacist said it would take only 3 days for it to go away, its been 4 now. should i keep using the pills and cream ?
what would you recommend i do..
thank you so much Smile

I would continue with the cream and pills. It sounds like the doctor was treating you for some kind of infection, possibly a urinary tract infection or yeast infection. Urisept is a type of antibiotic. You should ALWAYS take ALL of an antibiotic, even if you start feeling better before you finish taking all the pills/ doses.
"Daktacort hydrocortisone cream contains two active ingredients, miconazole nitrate and hydrocortisone acetate." The miconazole fights bacteria, fungus and yeast. The hydrocortisone controls irritation, swelling, itchingess, redness...

That is up to you. One website says this about Daktacort cream: "Apply once or twice daily by rubbing the cream gently into the affected area so that it is completely absorbed by the skin. Treatment should continue until all signs of the lesion have disappeared – usually after 2 to 5 weeks. (As a precautionary measure application should continue depending on severity of infection for 14 days after the lesion has disappeared to avoid relapse)." So I don't think continued usage would caue you a problem. To be on the safe side, why don't you call the doctor and ask if you can continue using it since it has not relieved the irritation?
