hi jacko6125, mold is not good for anybody most of all infants but all homes will get mold n mildew due to damp and cold walls, i myself have the same problem on occasion. To prevent it, it is best to keep furniture directly off the walls that get effected and make sure the rooms are well ventalated and the mold is cleaned away as best as possible when it appears with a damp cloth from clean water and mold removing sprays when needed. If you also expirience damp windows from condinsation it is important to open the windows every so often and dry them down with a dry cloth or towel and put a pot or shot glass of salt on the inside window ledge. You can also get mold preventing paint for all your walls, i have not used this so can not say if it helps but it's worth a try next time you re decorate.
If your cupboard is damp/wet and moldy it is most proberbly on an outside wall so it is best to paste instulation material in the whole of the cupboard including the ceiling and floor and lay a cutt of bit of carpet in their on the floor too. mine no longer gets damp or moldy thanks to doing that myself. I am not an expert but as a fellow blogger i give you my advice as i have the same problem.

We had a similar problem in our family that turned out to be hidden mold contamination behind a wall. The mold then started reproducing inside the HVAC system and ductwork. Between the two of us we had many symptoms: persistent sinusitis, rash, fatigue, burning eyes, headaches, shortness of breath, IBS, occasional sore throat, tremors, ear aches, and difficulty concentrating. There are many companies that offer mold inspection services. We chose Mold Aid because of their certifications and experience. From what we learned, not all mold types are harmful. I suggest you find a reputable company to test the visible mold and air and follow their recommendations. Hope this helps.
