Q: birthmark change

I have had a birthmark since childhood right under my right pectoral. (sp?) Not on, just under.

Just yesterday I noticed that there are a couple very very tiny whitish bumps surrounding the birthmark. It also seems to have changed from just a mark to that of a type of crater.

The mark has always, and still is, just one color. It is symmetrical, and has a constant border. I've been looking at melanoma websites.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you again!

Hi
To me it does not sound like melanoma. I have had so many moles and suspecious places removed I lost count. I did have melanoma removed in 2001. For peace of mind, I'd suggest you find a dermotologist and have them look at this place for you. This will rule out any fears you are having. If you indeed do have something that needs to be taken care of, at least you are having it takne care of. Too many people are afraid to go to a doctor, I say its best to be safe than sorry. Hope this helps! Keep in touch! Oh, and Welcome to eHealth!
