Birth Control Scare she forgot to take her pill t

Hello all,

My girlfriend is on birthcontrol and we participated in sexual activity on the 18th day of her cycle. She normally takes her pill at midnight everynight. The day after having unprotected sex she realized that she forgot to take her pill the night of sexual activity. She did not take the pill from that night until 10:30 AM the next morning. Thus she missed her normally time by 10-11 hours. She decided to take the missed pill And continue taking the remainder of the pills as normal, so she took 2 the day after the day she missed.

It is now several days after the sexual activity took place and too late to take a morning after pill. We have decided to refrain from sexual activity until she has her period which should be in 2 weeks. I was wondering what the chances of her getting pregnant? I know how the pill works by artificially elevating estrogen/progesterone levels to prevent ovulation. Do you think that missing a pill by 11 hours would allow ovulation to occur even if she is past the 14 day mark of typical ovulation?

Thank you for any help you can provide. Please be helpful and respectful.

Very very small. She followed the instructions that came with the pill, except for taking an extra pill the next time. That is not neccisary. As long as she catch up a late pill within 24 hours (the sooner the better), it is ok.

Take care.
