I've been getting lumps since i was 16 im now 19 and i wanted to start birth control pills. Is this a bad idea? will i develop more lumps? will the lumps that i have now grow bigger? will it increase my chance of cancer?

There is a small increase in the risk of cancer of the cervix and breast but this is minimal and it's only if you've been taking the pill for 5 years. I shouldn't think that it would interfere with your lump or cause any further ones to develop. However, I would visit your doctor and discuss that you would like to start birth control..he or she will be able to advise you of the best method to take. Hope this helps.
