I have been on the birth control pill orthotricyclen lo for about three/four weeks. On the site it says after 7 days I no longer need an alternate form of contraception, like condoms. I have had unprotected sex twice since then (both stupid, stupid unplanned events that I will never repeat). One of them was two days after the 7 day period, and he pulled out before coming. The second time was last night and he came inside of me.

It was such a stupid, stupid thing for me to do and now I am terrified I might be pregnant because I didn't wait a month (not that I'm going to have sex without a condom after the month is over because this stress and worrying is not worth it)

Am I at a high risk of becoming pregnant? How soon can I find out for sure that I am not? Can I take the morning after pill along with my regular birth control pill?

Thank you so much I have no one to talk to about this and I am definitely terrified.

Most likely your fine with just the bc as long as you are taking if correctly every day. Lots of people like to use condoms as well just to be extra protected in case of anything. Like you forgot your pill or are taking antibiotics or some people just don't trust the 1-2% chance that you have of it not working when your taking it. It's up to you both. But you should be protected by the bc. So don't worry anymore! Your right it's not worth the worrying!

I think the morning after pill is just a high dose of birthcontrol and if you get it you would have to go to the doctor. SO, if you discuss this with your doctor then he/she will let you know if you can take the two.

I would say that the birthcontrol would be partially working, but its still a possibility of pregnancy. Nothings 100%
