Birth control pills and pregnancy Posted: 03-12-08 05:11am
I am curious how many women get pregnant
on the pill if they do not take the pill
at the exact time everyday? My husband and
I have sex without a condom a few times a
week, and I do not always remember to take
the pill at the exact time, could I be at
risk of a pregnancy? How likely? Last
month I didn't start my menstral cycle
until 3 days into the inactive pills, I
have already taken 3 of them this month
and still no period. I have been on the
them for 6 months and had no difficulties
with them up until now. I had a
miscarriage in September of '07, which is
the reason I got on birth control, I was
scared to get pregnant until I was ready
again. Please can you help me?

Properly taking birth control pills means
taking the pills every day. Taking the
pills at the same time of day is
recommended but not crucial. If you take
the contraceptive pills every day chances
for getting pregnant are less than 1%.
If you want to get pregnant, the first
thing you should do is to stop taking
contraceptive pills.
