Q: Birth control pills and ovulation

Ive been off my pill 2 months now and my partner and i are trying for a baby. I have had dizzyness sickness, loss of appetite, excess discharge and started having cravings for strange food. Im due on my period 20/05/2008 this coming sunday Ive done a test today which is negative how soon will it show up if i am and is there anything i can do to help me get pregnant quicker.

One of the expected side effects from birth control pills is lack of ovulation and cycle irregularities a few months after you stop taking the pills. During those few months the fertilization ability is decreased. Most women establish their ovulations and regular cycles in a few months but, in rare cases, that can be prolonged up to 2 years.


You can do a pregnancy test after your expected period becomes late.
