I left my birth control pills for an hour in the trunk in the afternoon. Are they still effective? I'm bipolar and I'm taking abilify, lithium carbonate, trazodone, and benztropine. Will any of these medications interfere with the effectiveness of my birth control pills? I'm taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen 28 day. Thanks,
Christina

If your doctor is aware of the other medications you are taking, I'm sure that he or she made sure they won't interact badly. As for leaving the pills in the trunk, the heat can make them less effective. I suggest that you call the doctor and explain what happened. They will tell you whether you should discard the pill pack and start on a new one.
