I just started again the pill ( extended cycle with LEVORA) after a month of rest that I decided to get, I started the pills the next sunday after my menses started as recommended. The box says that During the first 7 days I am not protected. I had unprotected sex 2 days after I started the pills so I decided to take emergency contraception ( next choice ) . Should I also take my birth control pill on the same day that I take the emergency contraception? Isn't that too much dose of levonorgestrel? Or on the contrary Should I take the EC alone during these 2 days and then resume the pills.

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
You should continue taking your regular birth control pills as instructed. You should have considered using additional protection while having intercourse during the first 2-3 weeks of restarting your birth control pills. Wait and watch for your periods/withdrawal bleeding. Start the next birth control pill pack at the scheduled time. Visit your gynecologist/obstetrician for further evaluation and assistance. Be regular with your birth control pill use.
Take care.
