Birth control, PCOS, and pregnancy.

So I just found out in January why I never had regular periods after my son was born almost 7 years ago. I was told I have PCOS and on top of that what had a 50% chance of becoming cervical cancer. I started taking Levora to get my periods regular so I don't go any further with possible cervical cancer and metformin and spiro for the PCOS symptoms. The side affects weren't worth it so I stopped taking them. That included my birth control. I thought I would maybe start by the fourth day like I do if I end the pack as opposed to stopping it and I haven't had my period yet. I have had sex and right after I stopped taking them but ttc for four years I wasn't worried about all of a sudden conceiving as I've done this before but after finishing a pack. My doctor told me not to take the new pills until my next period but my question is when might that come? Another question I have is I've read that you're period on bc is just for "show" but mine are still pretty heavy and I have clots like I did when I was regular and not on bc. I also have them about as painful as I did back then too. Isn't that supposed to stop with bc?
