Q: Birth control not work ?

im on bc so my periods always start on the first or second day of the inactive pill.
im 11 days late for my period.
i had a negative hpt.
and a couple of days later i got a blood test done and it was negative.
so i called up my ob/gyn and she said to wait 10 more days without taking my bc or having sex and come in for a urine pregnancy test.
i had sex on the 26th of march.
so that was 16 days days ago.
i took the hpt about 8 days after i had sex.
so that was like the 3rd day of my missed period.
and the blood test was took on the 7th of april (this month).
i am so confused.
bc hpt tests can detect pregnancy up to 4 days before your missed period.
maybe i ovulated at a weird time and the bc didnt quite work??
help??

Only a Positive Pregnancy test can confirm pregnancy. There are many reasons why you may be late. But there is also a chances that you tested too early. So wait a week then test again or at least three days The HCG level usually double

i just missed another period which should have been on the 30th of April. I started taking my birth control again on Apr 26th but i've missed pills since then and normally, i would've had some kind of breakthru bleeding or something. but i've had nothing. and my stomach has been cramping alot. not bad, just alot.

You wouldn't have ovulated at a weird time because you don't ovulated on birth control.

It can be very common to miss/skip your period while on the pill-- what pill are you taking and how long have you been having normal and regular periods on the pill?

zovia. and i've always had regular periods while on the pill. they always started on the first inactive pill.
