Q: Birth control making sick

I've been on birth control(Seasonale) since i was 16 and it has never made me sick(i'm 20 now). Last August(2007) I was bleeding heavily and i went to my doctor and he told me i was 8 weeks pregnent exactly and had suffered from a miscarraige. well i got my period on feb. 22(2008) and i havent had it since. Starting about 2 weeks ago when i took my birth control it made me sick. I usually take it before i go to bed but now when i wake up the next morning i would feel sick. Yesterday i took it around 2pm to see if i would get sick this morning, well i got sick but i was around 7pm lastnight(5 hours after i took the pill). I also have had really bad cramps in my adomonal and right leg for the past week, which i usually get a few hours before i start my period, but i am 3-4 days late i think because feb was a leep yr this yr. Also my nipples have been a little sore 2 weeks before my period but this time their leaking(only when i squeeze aound the top and nipple), like they did after i had the miscarraige. i know they dont usually leak during the first 2-3 months during pregnancy. I am not taking my pill today to see how i feel tomorrow, but my question is why are my boobs leaking again when i squeeze them and why is my birth control making me sick all of a sudden? Could I be pregnant again? or am I just psyching myself out making my body believe i might be, delaying my period?

I am so confused please help me ASAP! I am going to take a test on friday if i dont get it by then. Sorry for the detailed information.

If you had a miscarriage, how did your doctor know you were 8 weeks pregnant?

Have you taken a pregnancy test? That should be your first step.

I was pregnant with twins and one still survive but i lost that one a week later. I'm taking a test on friday i'm going to talk with my boyfriend tonight so i dont feel like i'm taking the test behind his back he should know first.

Wow! How did you know it was twins? What kind of procedure did you have? Did you change birth control at that time or continue with the same kind?

i'm still on seasonale, but i found out because when i first started bleeding i was black so i called my doctor immediatly it was like 6am and he met me and my bf at his offive at 6:30 and he did an ultrasound cause i have cervical cancer and he showed me the ultrasound screen and pointed it out then hooked me up to machines to monitor them and only got one heart beat, thats when he told me that i had lost one and the heart beat of the other one was very unstable, then i lost that one to a week later. My bf was a twin and his twin died while his mom was in her first trimester too, she was the only one i could take to about this. I also happened to his dads mom with his dad, which makes me even more nervous that this is going to happen again.

Painful, I get shots to keep it from spreading every 3 months which makes me sick for 3 days afterwards but i've had it for 2 yrs and its still in stage1 and getting better. Thanks for asking.

Ouch! What kind of shots are you getting? It isn't chemotherapy is it?

I thought that stage 1 was the lowest and that stage 4 was the highest? You are getting shots to prevent the spreading of the cancer? What are you getting shots of?

i'm getting the shots to prevent spreading and getting worse...and i get chemo shots, thier not fun. I also get my cervix scrapped every 6 months.

But i took the test and hour ago and i am pregnant, i think my bf is more excited than i am... not that i'm not i am but hes already picking names lol.

i did call i had an appointment this morning and i'm off the chemo for the next 8 months.

Yeah the pill is not going to be my next control meathod after this.

Isn't that dangerous? Going off the chemo, I mean. It sounds kind of scary. Why couldn't they just take out all of the cancerous cells? I hope everything is ok.

I have one question...If you were only eight weeks when they Twins died how did you hear a heart beat? I didnt think you could hear that untill you were further like 11-12 weeks...Correct me if im wrong...just asking! Smile

A close friend of mine is pregnant with twin girls, and wasn't abvle to hear the heart beat till like 12 weeks-13 weeks.

they had to hook up this machine that was placed inside me and it hurt so much just to check to make sure nothing was wrong... i didnt think it was possible either.
But i told my mom and shes so excited because i might not have been able to have kids in the future so....

Wow, it sounds like it's been an eventful few weeks for you. I hope everything goes well.

Were you able to see the heartbeat yet? Or were they only able to hear it that early?

Sounds like a transvaginal ultrasound to me. She probably saw it.
