I took an entire brand new pack of Loestrin 24 Fe on vacation to New York this week. Yesterday we went to the Zoo and it was about 90 all day with humidity. My birth control was in my purse in the middle compartment and closed. I had a cool waterbottle in there but by the end of the 6 hour trip it was very warm so it didn't stay cool all day. I kept my purse with me the entire day and was wondering if the heat had any effects on my birth control or if it will even work anymore?

I'm not able to get a refill for another 20 days since insurance will not cover it or allow it.

So my question is, am i okay to still take it? If not, what should i do?

It should be just fine. It was not out in the open in the sun, and it was only for a short amount of time.

If you have any doubts at any time and want to make sure, use condoms as well.

Stay cool and hydrated, and enjoy your vacation. New York is a wonderful city to see.
