Hello,

My fiance and I are not sure yet if she is pregnant, BUT... if she is, should she stop taking the birth control? AND what does taking birth control do to the baby is she is pregnant?

Many women fear that taking birth control pills will cause birth defects in the child. However, the birth control pills we use today are much lower doses than previous versions which did cause problems. To date, there has been no evidence that the pill causes birth defects but women are advised to discontinue the pill just in case.
