Q: birth control - antibiotic- pregnancy????

I am currently on birth control and not trying to concieve.
I started taking an antibiotic on July 28. I know to use back up while on the antibiotic and 7 days after. But I had sex on July 27 without extra protection. Could I get pregnant - I know sperm live so many days inside a woman.

My period was due August 6. If I did become pregnant could I test now that I have missed my period or do I need to wait til 14 days after the sex to insure an accurate test?
