Before starting Ortho Tri Cyclin Lo for clearing up my acne, I'd been on a limited calorie diet combined with exercise and I was feeling good and losing weight. But the problem with going on the pill is that whereas before I would feel hunger signals, now I have this bloated feeling all the time, PLUS cravings for food I wouldn't normally have. I've gained five pounds in a little more than one week.

It doesn't make sense that this would be happening, I've talked to my doctor and Ortho is a comparatively low dosage contraceptive that's supposed to have less side effects, but I suppose "less" doesn't mean anything if Ortho is the first birth control I've used.

Did anyone else experience anything like this?

Hormone Level
Did you check with your doctor your hormone level?
If you have never done it you should! Its really important for you to know how high or low are your hormones, this way you will be able to know which pill goes best for you.

For example Yaz is really good because it brings a low hormone level, but maybe your hormone leve is low to so Yaz wont work the way it should work.
Hope you follow this advice, this way instead of gaining weight birth control pill can do a revert result! Trust me.
