I am having problems with the concept of going back on birth control.
I stuggled with weight all my life so when I was 15 I lost 120 lbs I kept it off, when I was 17 I decided to dabble in the concept of sex and decided to put myself on bc, however not even a year after I went on birth control I gained weight and not in the little amount the doctors said I would. I went from a size 10 to and 22 all over again, well I took myself off bc about 3 years ago and I have been struggling to loose the weight again. I have been wanting to go back on birth control but fear even more weight gain and fear not even being able to loose it. I have even been so afraid of relationships and getting pregnrt for the past 3years that I have not had intercorse. I dont trust other safty methods either I don;t want to use the IUD either my sister has it and her husband keeps getting poked so I want to stay away from that.........

maybe you should look into a different kind of pill? My friend gets the bc shot, deprovera? i think? and since shes gotten the shot shes gained alot of weight through the years..shes still on the shot..now whether it be due to the shot or just the way shes eating is finally catching up with her idk.., i haven't had any problem with weight with yaz, any weight i have gained is due to my love for taco bell Wink haha but maybe you should talk to your doctor about different options? Make sure your eating habits aren't changing while youre on birth control, because maybe the fact that you're active stresses you out and you eat? I dont know I'm just throwing things out there, I notice any time I get stressed I'll grab a bar of chocolate haha so could it be that you just aren't noticing your habits are changing? Good Luck though and I hope you finds something that works out for you!

hi
I have even gone into using the nuv ring and had bad weight gain and depression, I even tried yaz, and like 4 other pills they made me go nuts AND I MEAN NUTS, at this point I have gone to the doctors multiple time and I am at a loss at what to do. I want to be protected from gettign pregnent not to mention I only get my period maybe 3 times a year and have been that way for almost 3years, all the doctors keep telling me I need to be on bc but I can't stand what they do to me. when I gained all that weight I was running 2 miles a day and did weight watchers and I still got the XXXX end of the deal, I don't know what to do anymore HELP

condoms plus spermacides maybe? sounds like the horomone thing just doesn't work well for you...i saw in another topic there was a non horomonal IUD but i see you mentioned not wanting to try that..but maybe thats something you should look in to alittle more...from what i've read not all guys complain about it...i'm sure unless he knows its there he wont be able to tell..other than that i'm at a loss :/
