For about 2 years now I've been struggling. Long periods of stress and worrying created grave anxiety. Which one day triggered what i believed to be my bipolar disorder (cyclothymia to be specific). Went on for a year without treatment thinking it was just anxiety. Suffered from full blown OCD as a kid. Went away 2 months later. Was always a chronic thinker. Take abilify 2.5 mg and ritalin 20 mg twice a day. Abilify gave me severe attention problems. Starting to doubt whether I am bipolar even or not. Thinking hyperactivity could have been to anxiety and add. Tough for the doc to diagnose me because i do a lot of research and in the end am confused. My 3 suspects are OCD without the compulsions (obsessive thinking rather), ADD, and perhaps cyclothymia. Truly feel that the root of my problem is thinking too much and everything else is secondary to that. I'm all for cognitive therapy but feel I could really use meds. Perhaps something that would focus on add, anxiety, depression, and ocd. But my doc wont make the move just yet because i guess I perplex him everytime i walk in. Your opinions would be appreciated.
