I Have been suffering from an illness I have no Idea about, It is, Physical symptoms,Face Flushing, lips turning RED, involuntary Severe clenching (jaw, larynx, neck, back, straining eyes, tongue pressing teeth, or tongue clenching) Involuntary head tilting, Feeling of detached from reality, severe paranoia, hands and feet cold, high pitch voice due to pressure, extreme discomfort and pain depression due to this... I had these symptoms for 10 years I am a 26 year old male, I try to eat right and exercise, I was dealing with this since the age of 18 medicating these symptoms w/ alcohol which has caused more problems in my life, Now I have not had a drink in 7 months, I am dealing with these symptoms full force, I am trying to pursue medical help, but might be going on the wrong path, I have had blood work done, and nothing came up relating to thyroid, blood sugar,STD's, and whatever they might test for when explaining these issues in a emergency room. It is to the point where I am more than comfortable with the idea of suicide.
The Psychiatrist (I was lucky to see) I spoke with in a Rehab I voluntarily went to, diagnosed me with Biploar and PT-SD, I am not too sure about the diagnosis, I am seeing a "Intern" Physician (Due to my no insurance) have been prescribed low mg. Prozac for 2 months and was not feeling any different. Now I am with a new "Intern" Physician that has seen the diagnosis from the Psychiatrist and has prescribed me seroquel 300mg to "Try out" it has had slight negative effects on me. I am desperately trying to seek some answers, and trying to rule out any major medical problems it may be. I am very desperate!

Hi there

You show all the classic symptoms of food allergy. Face flushing and reddening lips indicate an dilation of the capillaries, clenching of jaw is a TMJ (temporo-mandibular joint) problem, neck muscles work on the same energy as the stomach and tighten up in allergic response causing headaches, and the highs and lows you go through are the highs of adrenalin release in allergies (fight or flight syndrome) and the lows afterwards when the adrenalin has been used up. That is what Bipolar is all about. One thing is for sure. The symptoms you have are not because of a lack of mind altering drugs like Seroquel which has a list of side effects (allergic reactions) which even include diabetes. I suggest you take a zinc supplement of 100Mg daily for 6 months. This will get the brains glandular system up to scratch again. Avoid allergenic foods like all dairy products, potatoes. peanuts, eggs, food colouring, MSG, and all the other things the FDA, in its infinite wisdom, saw fit to allow into the food chain.
