My daughter was diagnosed bipolar four years ago. She is 22 and has only associated with men who are progressively lower and lower on the social scale. Her first boyfriend had no home. His parents were seperated and he lived with relatives. Great guy, graduated top third from high school, and top five percent from college.
As soon as he showed signs of success, she broke up with him and started dating a gang member who claimed to be attending the college where she was going.
After he tried to hurt her at a party, she moved to another address.
Now she is pregnant by a twice convicted felon who is a high school dropout and has never held a job in his life.
I certainly cannot complain about all her boyfriends being black, I'm white and her mother is Filipino, but why will she only associate with men who are totally dependant on her for everything.
When I mention her lost puppy favorites, she destroys stuff and scares the heck out of her mother and me.
Her doctors have refused to even listen to our stories and have never been told of her boyfriend problems.
What is the matter with her?
