Q: bipolar 2 and short term disability

will my onthsjob be protected if i go on short term disability? I was put on disability yesterday 3/28/08 I HAVE already been on the family leave but now will switch over to short term disability the doc sad for 3 to 6 . months will my job be protected. I am 59 and right now i could not even see myself going back to where i worked

It should be protected. Call your human resources office. They should be able to provide you with information about short term disability.
