Bipolar and displays of affection

Can anybody relate to this- my BP boyfriend has great difficulty of showing affection in public, like holding hands, putting an arm on my shoulder, etc. As for kissing, he cannot. Full stop. He could not with other reationships he had as well. He used to say not to touch him above the neck. He did hold hands sometimes, but stopped completely after some time. he said kissing and hands are 'emotional' things. He cannot feel emotion normally, I think. by the way, after 7 months he dropped me suddenly without any notice , this after we were going to move in together soon, and he had said so many times how wonderful our realtionship was, made in heaven, and that he would give me a lot of love and care. He is now incommunicado with me. he said he would never make me happy, but I was happy enough with him. I love him. This is killing me.
