A few years ago, I was having alot of stomach pain and diarrhea. After having lost about forty pounds, my doctor sent me to a gastroenterologist who did a vast amount of blood work and testing. The blood work did not show Celiac disease, but after a biopsy done during a colonoscopy, the doctor called me and told me I had Celiac disease. He said to "try to go gluten-free and see if it would help." He left me confused as to whether I have it or not; so, does the biopsy definitely 100% indicate Celiac disease? He said there was minimal flattening of villi. Please give me your opinion? I am a 44 year old female who has suffered from stomach pain, bloating, constipation or diarheaa.
