Ok here is my problem. My ex-wife and I decided to get back together. She is currently pregnant but am not truely convinced it is mine due to dates we have recieved. Looking at a calander here is how things have unfolded.

Saturday October 11 She hit the road to move.

Thursday October 16th She arrives at my home. We have unprotected sex.

Friday November 21rst she tells me she is pregnant.

Wednesday November 26th she has ultrasound and it puts her at 6weeks 6days. looking at a calander that puts the conception date on Oct. 9th

I questioned her and told her to be honest with me and she came clean and said she was having sex with her ex boyfriend right up to and including the day she left.

Can an early ultasound be off by a week. I plan on getting a paternity test but am very hurt and very hesitant to get excited.

i need help in understanding all this

Doctors use the first day of the last menstrual period as the standard convention for dating pregnancies. When did she have her last menstrual cycle? If she experiences a 28-30 day regular menses, then she would ovulate about 14 days BEFORE THE NEXT CYCLE was to begin.

The only way to be sure, though is a DNA paternity test. I'd suggest that you ask her to comply so that you can really participate in the development of the child.
