As long as you burn more calories per day than you take in, you should lose weight. Studies have shown this to be true regardless of what you eat. However, most doctors recommend trying to lose weight while eating healthfully and maintaining an eating plan that is easy to continue. So, although a diet of biltong, fruit and supplements may cause weight loss, it does omit many food groups including vegetables, fish, and whole grains. Eating a healthy diet while restricting caloric intake and exercising is the best way to lose weight and stay healthy. Consider seeing a nutritionist or registered dietician for help.
