I have been through a Barium Swallow test, Barium enema, Ultrasound, CT Scan which show no Gallstones and everything looks normal I also recently went through an MRI which I don't have the results for yet. Most of the times my blood work is fine I had one where my pancreatic enzymes were raised but they were normal the next time.

Does anyone have any idea what this is? Last night was a really bad one as it hurt just to have the pillow beside my stomach and my legs also started throbbing, the only thing that was missing last night was the sharp pain in the back and right shoulder.

Gall bladder disease includes inflammation, infection, stones, or obstruction of the gallbladder. Even if the stones are not present in the scans, is there a possibility of infection or obstruction?

From what the Dr's have told me so far everything looks normal the only thing was one blood test where my pancreatic enzymes were high but the next test they were back to normal. I still don't have the results of the MRI and they or doing an endoscopy on Nov 20. I assume that if there was infection my blood results would show it but I'm not sure.

I'm on a round of antibiotics now for something else so if there is infection hopefully it will take care of it.

The Dr seems to think whatever it is is in the biliary duct system around the pancreas as those are the only enzymes that were elevated and I don't drink so it sounds more like a stone to me. I do have a small Hernia near my esophagus which they say would not cause the problems I'm having.

I'm sorry that you're in the waiting game. When's your next appointment to get the results back and hopefully a diagnosis?!

I will get some answers when I go for my endoscopy in November but I've had a couple of bad attacks in the last few nights so I've left a message for my dr in hopes of getting some info about the MRI. There's some nights I want to just go to the hospital but it's a half hour drive from me and probably a ten hour wait to see the Dr so I guess I'll just keep leaving messages for my dr until she call.
