If you have thick curly hair or a skin condition like KP, you probably will. If your hair is realy light or thin, you can get away with it.
It's much better if you trim it rather than shave it. you know the razor nicks and razor burn, you get on your legs? you can get it on your pubic area as well.

I would say waxing is by far the best way to go. Painful at the time but lasts a long time and the hair doesn't grow back itchy. You'll have bumps for a day or so but it'll go away quickly and be nice and smooth.
