Q: Bicornuate uterus after Hysterectomy ?

Hello newbee here
I recently went to the E.R. for lower back pains and bloody stool (which I had for 2 weeks) the E.R. doctor sent me to get a C.T. scan. He said everything was fine and referred me to my doctor. My doctor asked for the hospital records including the C.T. Scan they did. On the report it stated that I have a possible bicornuate uterus. The thing is I had a total hysterectomy 8 years ago I dont have a uterus. What could this be???
Concerned

Welcome
Hi
I'm not sure. Maybe you should see the Dr. that did the hysterectomy, if you can.

It is strange.

I think it means someone maybe sent the wrong information over. What does your personal doctor say about that?

Worried and Frustrated
I called the Radiologist that read my CT and I have still to hear back from anyone. They were suppose to have the radiologist re-read the CT scan with the knowledge of my hysterectomy (which changes this greatly) but like always you are made to wait UGH!! I did show the CT scan to my GI dr. and he said that he does not know how to read CT's but that all he could see what an inflamed colon. But the CT said my bowels were normal I am just getting more and more confused. A uterus is not a tiny organ its pretty big so whatever they think they saw is pretty big. I am hoping to hear back from the radiologist today. If we do not take charge of our health WHO will!!!

Finally Got an Answer
Ok, Here goes. Finally I recieved a revised report and this is what it basically states. What they saw on the CT scan is the vaginal walls and dropped bowels, on image is shows as a heart shape view mimicing a bicornuate uterus. Makes sense! and I feel greatly releaved.

That is a great relief. Knowing is half the battle. I'm glad you finally got an answer. Do they think that is what is causing the back pain and bloody stool?
