I had a very hard fall to the ground. On the way to the ground, I tried to catch myself with my left arm on the hood of a parked car just in front of me. As I fell, my left arm from the elbow up to the shoulder was bent backwards. (Like over my back) At first my left hand was numb and tingling. i could not use my left arm at all or put any weight on it at all to get off the ground. I thought my shoulder had separated, but after a short period, the tingling and numbness in the hand went away. I cannot use the arm to lift much now. The muscle in the front of my shoulder and the pectoral muscle as well, but not as severe, hurts if I try to bend my arm backwards. The bicep hurts if I try to move the arm backwards and inside bone of the elbow is very tender to the touch. I also noticed that the veins in this arm from the inside of the elbow up to the shoulder are very pronounced since the injury. After 24 hours the pain has subsided and is minimal as long as i don't try to use the arm or shoulder. I have no insurance. I am hoping that I hyperextended the bicep, shoulder and pectoral and all this is going to fade away in a few days. If anyone could provide any advise on how I can best treat this injury, I would REALLY appreciate it.
