Q: better body without weight loss ?

I am very self-conscious about my looks. I am sadly stuck with a small-framed body. Im 16 and basically do not have a chest so it is very hard to look good. My stomach is not large, but it looks like it since theres nothing to balance it out on top.
I use to be slightly anorexic (was never an unhealthy body weight, was just close). But now I am better. Im 5'2 and weigh about 115 pounds.
My main question is, is there a way I can get a better looking body without losing weight? (I can't or my mother will....just freak out for a lack of better words).
Ive tried doing strength-training exercises but nothing has helped.
Any help/advice?

How about gaining a little weight?-- it's going to happen when you gain muscle.
Without a proper diet, strength training may not be very beneficial.

Try adding a few things to your diet so any workouts you do are going to help rather than hurt your weight.

Here are some tips for healthy weight gain. Pair this diet with strength training and you will gain muscle over time. Smile

Nope, usually muscle gain and weight gain-- at least in my experience-- go hand in hand.

Thats why I LOSE weight when I'm out of swim season rather than gain.

And what you're asking isn't difficult-- it's expected. A healthy weight gain (in my mind) is mostly muscle, not fat. The only way to do that is to eat the appropriate foods and work out at the same time.
