Am I Pregnant Answer A24224
Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
HCG levels of 5 or more than 5 is considered to be suggestive of pregnancy. If you suspect to be pregnant, visit your doctor/gynecologist for examination (to look for signs of pregnancy changes in body) and getting a blood HCG test done (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately). A serial HCG level estimation done would confirm if you are pregnant or not (rising levels would suggest pregnancy). The spotting/bleeding that you have could be suggestive of decidual bleeding of it is not associated with your usual pre-menstrual symptoms, abdominal cramps, back pain etc. If the spotting/bleeding is increasing in intensity and you are having abdominal cramps then it could be suggestive of miscarriage. Do not delay in visiting your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation and assistance. Take adequate rest. Drink plenty of water. Maintain healthy diet. Avoid any heavy work. Avoid having intercourse. Avoid lifting heavy objects and climbing stairs or standing for long periods.
Take care.
