Hi,
We don't really use drugs and medications over the counter, because of side effects, we prefer to make the most out of nutrition, vitamins and natural supplements to protect ourselves.
Both of my kids were in class with friends who caught the flu, and as oppose to many others, they didn't get it.
So here are few nice tips we use:
1. Green salad twice a day (lunch and supper)-with as many as green leafs included!
2. Green tea- 2 cups a day- the Chinese call it: "The Natural Secret for a Healthier Life"- it is rich in catechin polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). EGCG is a powerful anti-oxidant
3.Ginger (only freshly grated -used in cooking/ salads/ lemon juice) is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, minimize the symptoms of respiratory conditions, colds and allergies.
4. Vitamins: high daily dose of vitamin C- 1500-2000mg
5. Supplements: a broad-range antiviral natural supplement-Gene-Eden- powerful against chronic viruses and diseases and also great in boosting up the immune system.
6. Hygiene, hygiene & hygiene: cleaning surfaces (mainly in the kitchen and bath), door knobs, TV remotes and phones (yes) once a day- it takes only 10 minutes and I am using Lysol or alcohol wipes- easy and safe!
No need to mention what you all know by now- washing hands as often as possible, my kids take the hand gel sanitizer to school.

Extremely eHealthy
Sleeping 10 hours a day, exposing yourself to influenza as often as possible and wearing a HEPA mask are also effective ways to avoid H1N1

Elderberry juice (nigra): 1 tablespoon (1-2)x a day.

I have heard from a friend whose medical doctor actually convinced her that it's one of the only agents out there that effectively boosts your immune system to fight off the h1n1 virus. It latches on to the virus and helps your body fight it, without any of the dangerous side effects from the vaccine.

Like many of you know, there are loads of evidence and studies that support elderberry fights off viruses (mainly influenza) and bacterial infections. I take it for sinus and allergy problems, and its amazing.
