For some women that is a natural part of their cycles and is caused by the changes in hormones.
If it is an infection, it should be treated. Normally it can be one of three types:
* STD - you know the risk you exposed yourself to. If it is possible, see your health clinic or doctor to get tested.
* Yeast - itchy chunky discharge. Get something at your local pharmacy/supermarket for yeast. Go with the longer treatments, not the one or three day treatments.
* Bacterial (BV) - normally not thick, and it's got a foul fishy smell with burning. doctor can diagnose and treat.
