I don't know if he is real or fake. I have heard of him but I do not watch him or any other televangelist. I guess I have been jaded by the Jim Bakkers, Ted Haggards, and Jimmy Swaggarts of the world. I do believe in faith healing but I am not sure if it is caused by divine intervention, personal belief, or a combination of the two. I would like to believe that God can heal but even if it were true, I believe that the person afflicted must have faith that they will be healed. So, they play as large a part in their healing as the 'healer' does.
I do know that the mind is an amazing thing. I have read stories of people meditating daily and visualizing that their tumor/ illness is dissipating and it has happened. If a person has the faith to believe in God, I don't think it's a far stretch to think that prayer, the laying on of hands, and the belief in healing will produce the same results.

The New Testament of the Holy Bible does not supports what these people are doing. God is healing today through medical science! (Professionals, Doctors, Medical) I will not get in any big discussion on this subject because people will have their own opinions on such issue. Fact of the matter is that these people are missleading a lot of people, they know that they don't have any miraculous power to heal people. The poor and uneduciated people are the most victims. God is still healing, but not through Benny Hinn, Jim Bakker, Ted Haggards, Jimmy Swaggarts and no other false prophet of today's world who are getting richer by missleading people to give their hard earned money that they might be healed of their sickness! If these faking people are real then they should go to the hospitals all over the world and heal all of these suffering people! They will take their miraculous powers to the grave yard and raise the deads! During the Bible days, God gave this power to his twelve Apostles for a limited of time, and only them (the apostles) were able, at that time, through God were able to do what these men are faking for financial gain! Jesus told has apostles "Freely you have received, freely you give That' about all I have to say!!!!

Im not disagreeing with anyone, I think the guy is awful, but if you yourself do awful things then call yourself awful also. Perhaps there should be a thread about how awful everyone on this website is, however not discluding benny hinn from it.

bo21, what makes you say that the New Testament does not support faith healing? Or do you mean, healing for money and for show? I am asking because John 14:12 is the scripture used to explain current belief in faith healing.

thanks for your response. First of all, I need to make myself clear concerning God and His healing power. God has always been, and will always be the healer of the world! When I stated that the New Testament does not supports what these people are doing, thats is what I stated! Never I said that the New Testament does not support faith healing. In Matthews 7:15-20, Jesue talks about false prophets like these men. Jesus gave Miraculous Power to His twelve apostles, and only them for a limited of time. This Power was not given to every christians, only to the twelve! In Matthews 10: 7-9, Jesus said to the twelve "not every, christian but the twelve disciples: Listen to Jesue as He sends His twelve forth: And as ye go,preach,saying,The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead,cast out devils: FREELY YE HAVE RECEIVED, FREELY GIVE. Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purse! The KJV
Jesue never intended for money hungry greedy men like the ones mentioned above to sell His healing Power because it is not ment to be sold to people, and fact of the matter is; these men has not the healing power to heal, they are brain washing the people for financial gain! the rich can, indeed buy it and the poor people will suffer from this special healing because the lack of money should their health depends on these evil men! God does not work through evil spirits! That's about all I have to say!!!!

Woops, God did create sickness so that we do not become puffed up and think ourselves to be self-sufficient. Read the account of Job in the Old testament part of the Bible. It helps you get a grip on understanding desease and illnesses, and all kinds of misfortunes. When we aknowledge our dependence upon God in our trials then God is glorified
